In-Person Deposition videotaping
Capturing a trial-ready legal deposition isn’t a task for the non-professional. We specialize in taping in high-resolution with an uncluttered background and super-distinct, crisp, clean audio; this takes the right equipment (with redundant back-up) and the experience to use it with precision. The resulting video file will be emailed to you as a download link and an event log of on/off record times and objections. Audio files are made available to court reporters as needed.
Remote Depositions via Zoom
Nothing replaces being in person, but ever since Covid-19 the world has adapted to other ways of holding legal proceedings. The best platform for doing this is Zoom. Legal Avenue not only moderates Zoom-based depositions, but wrangles exhibits put up for display on Zoom’s screen share.
Hybrid Depositions
Some parties cannot attend a deposition in person. Holding a hybrid In-Person/+Zoom deposition can be the answer. Some parties on the other side of the Zoom broadcast need to hear what is being discussed, and also wish to see what the video camera recording the deposition is seeing, which would offer exact to-the-second time stamps below the witness. Setting up a tested, successful hybrid deposition requires Legal Avenue to bring a laptop with Zoom installed, plus internet access.
RATE SCHEDULE
First hour: $250 Each additional hour $100, billed incrementally on the half-hour
Legal Avenue does not travel outside of the Louisville Metro and Southern Indiana area.
Appearance Fee: $100 if videographer arrives to deposition destination and is informed of cancellation or postponement prior to setting up equipment. $200 if videographer arrives to deposition destination, sets up equipment and is ready to go on the record before receiving notice of the cancellation or postponement.
Digital (mp4) copies: $100 each.
Sync’d Deposition Video to Transcript
Rate: $120 per media hour. (E.g., a two-hour, 30-minute deposition = $300)
Turnaround time for Sync’d video DVD is 1 week from availability of transcript from court reporter. Inquire for rushes.
